It is not that hard... I just said that so people would look. Okay, here is the problem:
A teacher usually divides his class into six groups of "n" students each. However, on Monday, three of the students were absent, so the teacher divided the remaining students into seven groups of "m" students each. On Tuesday, four students were absent, so he went back to "n" students per group, but there were only five groups. How many students are in the class?
Please explain your answer thoroughly!
answer that bish for my rep

System of 2 equations.. algebra 2 shit.. blah blah
6n - 3 = 7m
6n - 4 = 5n simplified----> n - 4 = 0
6n - 3 = 7m
n - 4 = 0 multiply the bottom equation by -6
6n - 3 = 7m
-6n + 24 = 0 add that shit
21 = 7m
m = 3 Plug that into the original equation
6n - 3 = 7(3)
6n = 24
n = 4 Plug that into the beginning equation
6(4)
NUMBER OF STUDENTS IS 24 BITCH.
aiosdfjiosdaf you beat me

If this is for school, you're going to have to use my answer because that equation isn't legit.

| Nothing wrong with my equation. In fact, you only need 6n=5n+4. There's no need to solve for m, unless it asked for it.

Well, this is the thing that will cause the human race to end. Lazy little 13 year olds who don't do their math and get shitty jobs.

YOU CAN ALSO DO THIS THE EASY WAY.
FIRST: 6*n=TOTAL
SECOND: 5*n+4=TOTAL
6*n=5*n+4 => -5*n => n=4
4*6=24.
Ignore the M bullshit, it's only confusing you.
