---The American government has drastically changed. State's rights are no longer seriously considered in most cases, stem cell research has become one of those 'eh, whatever' things in Congress, the president is talking about nationalizing several bank chains, and the Second Amendment to the US Constitution is in danger of being abolished. Government bailouts are being handed out left and right, the government already controls many aspects of regulating business, taxation rates just keep climbing, and Social Security may not last until most of us get to it. The government spending deficit is hundreds of billions of dollars deep, and we are importing more products than we can handle (imports are not bad, and I'm not one of those 'only buy American' fanatics, but it is important that we take the money we make and circulate it within our own country for the 'economy' to get better). There are already congressional and presidential plans to jumpstart a world bank with a single currency.
---Government is taking over. We can't deny it any longer. We are no longer human beings with rights, we are cattle. The only thing keeping our rights is our own opinions of our government. The people in charge will never intentionally decrease their own powers, and the only reason we still live freely is the fact that officials run the risk of not being re-elected. That makes things somewhat more difficult, but things are still progressing. Slowly, but definitively. Communism is such a harsh word... the American people are not willing to accept it. Socialism is the same thing, it just takes longer to get to the same levels as communism.

I see where your coming from. Giving money to the people; to then pay for everthing and such is a good idea.(But, highly doubtable by our government). They fear more about losing banks, full of of our money. And, think if they bail them our money will in turn be saved, and stop some of the choas. But, with AIG and some other companys, they'd rather fill thier own wallets with the bailout money(Typical american way). Though, I still highly doubt were gonna go into Socialistic downturn.(Soon...)
But, It's not like communism is bad or anything. It's just that it's always a power hungry Dick (OOPPsss.... Dicktator= Wink

) That scews stuff over. Look at China thier coming back in a boomish way. Then agian...

Why is this bad? Socialism = equality. Mostly property and economy will be controlled by the states which is a good way to have it under control. Everyone will be paying taxes in order to rebuild schools, hospitals etc.

But also dont forget that old style of socialism is almost not used anymore, but the social-democracy.

I'll just go hippie on this. I'll just 'go with the flow' and if the government fucks up the world, there is nothing I can do about it. I mean, the only way to reverse this would be to
1. Bomb the White House then
2. Bomb every other government building possible. Then
3. Kill the president and every single person in line to become the president and kill all the people who go to congress, presidential candidates, and the like.

But since I do not know how to make a bomb... oh well.hehehe

I'm game. To be honest, a change in the presidency managed to do a good job of steering us away from the fascist turn our government was taking. We were getting damn close to starting the whole black-bag process.

OMG, your making a huge mistake.
After socialism in E. Germany, Poland, and Russia, people there got
arrested for doing certain things. Unemployment rate peak at the end of
Socialism at the end of all those countries. Also, basic necessities weren't
in the stores. Church wasn't allowed. They gave you a fixed pension and
took money away from you. No one could get more money then the
government wanted from you and it was a very small amount. And
communism.... isnt much better.
You dont know about this because you never came from a once Socilaistic
country. Also, SCHOOLS DIDNT ALLOW YOU TO GET EDUCATED UNDER
THE ORIGINAL COUNTRIES HISTORY. It was the history of the surpressing
country.

And ok.... there were elections, but the only two parties running were the
SOCIALISTIC PARTY... and if you didn't vote, you'd get a huge fine. No
Protests... no nothing.

I am happy to make a huge debate about this.
