Umm just try saying "Hi" every once in a while and like try to have a conversation with her and when she brings up a subject that you don't like just try to follow it.

Find something she does that interests you. Perhaps take a week to must up your courage and while observing her in a non-stalker way. Notice every little thing she does. From the ticks and the habits. Get to know her.

Try to talking to one of her friends, or better yet, get her AIM lolz. If you're young, say sixth grade, it will be easy to get a aim (or whatever chat they use). However, it will be harder for highschoolers. It depends.

Instead of trying to joined that group so she will know you, be yourself and let here see that your not like others. Then maybe she'll fall for you.

e.g. A person she can talk to and be herself instead of putting up a fake identity for all her "friends" she hugs.
