| Screw education .. Learn by yourself? Go get some books on it, or read the help files etc.. Take your time. No need to go to school for most of it.. Get yourself a mentor (A guy who knows alot of ex C++) and then ask him for help when you really need it. That's how I do, and it works fine.

| I learned programming at around age 14, out of malicious curiosity. Online resources.

Learning how to program that way is alright, but not something you're going to get a professional job with. A diploma looks a hell of a lot better than somebody scribbling down that they learned C++ from Deitel & Deitel's book, see what I mean?

"Don't let school interfere with your education."
-Mark Twain
Honestly, don't take a class on shit like that.
Classes will screw your shit up. They will teach you nonsense. But if you really want to do it after schooling, take the class. But it will just be very boring, and they will probably leave out all the good things you need to know.
