The official pronunciation is "ga-nome". [wiki] Is that how YOU pronounce it though?

I say "nome" to avoid sounding stupid.

Variants: guh-nome, gee-nome, nome, ga-nor-may, guh-nom...

Like "know" with a "mm" on the end.
As far as I knew the official English (as in, in England) pronunciation was with the silent 'G'.

Where does it mention "ga-nome" here?

Unless you were referring to the desktop environment 'GNOME', in which case it's based on how the company represents itself as opposed to the original word's pronunciation.

Depends... If you are talking about GNOME D.E.... Then i'd say gah-nome.

Or if you are talking about the creature... it is nome.

I was always told it was nome, but different countries with different dialects may say it different.
