Try proxy .org/cgi_proxies.shtml there are a huge amount of proxies there some dont work but after about 3 trys you'll find one.

ps remove the space after proxy

You could just change your IP manually.

I don't know how you could "change" your IP except within a local network... or unless your ISP does it.

But anyway, what you used and the other program posted are just VPNs, which shouldn't require any extra software than required for an SSL connection.

I would suggest Tor. It doesn't offer the encryption of an SSL VPN, but would offer anonymity. Testing proxies could find you a list of good ones as well.
