Im doing a project, about stopping child predators.

But i cant find a good source that tells me exactly what happens to them because i heard that one way to fix it is to enforce stronger penalties to the predator.

but what exactly happens to them? Do they get chances or what?

Depends, they might go to jail and be released but then be a registered sex offender.

When they are released to society they are consider as being given a "chance", but what is the point of it as most will just repeat themselves.

Theres so many different answers, some people say they get listed and get a chance some people say they get boned...whos right? or is it different for different states? how about california?

Honestly, they should be given six months to change, and if they still have too much of an interest in children, then they should be taken away.
