What is the background and why is there a war there? And what is ur opinions about this war going on.

You probably want the FULL FULL story... Ok so before the end of WWII The area of Israel was called "Palestine" (Where the Palestinians lived)... Then, at the end of WWII, the UN gave the Jewish community the land of Palestine and called it Israel (from the bible/Torah... This land was where they started and the UN thought that they deserved it.. They did but that's just my opinion.) So for the past years (since the end of WWII) The Palestinians have been SUPER pissed at the Israelis for pushing them off their land and into two tiny countries (The Gaza Strip and what is now called "Palestine").... So the Palestinian government that controls the Gaza Strip section (Hamas) has, for the past 8 years been shooting rockets into Israel. But since the Palestinians are so poor they have really outdated weapons that didn't do that much damage and, over the course of 8 years, only managed to kill 20 people in Israel (YES TWENTY!)... Well, not that long ago (in 2008) Israel warned them that if they didn't stop shooting the rockets they would attack. The Palestinians didn't and Israel attacked. Then, during the crossfire, they both agreed to a short ceasefire so that supplies could come in for the Palestinians (as they don't have the things they need in these situations)... Then, during that, one Israeli soldier shot a supply truck. Since then that soldier has been strip of his rank and put in jail. Not sure what is happening right now though...

Riight now its pretty much quiet.
The United States is more towards helpingPalesine because they have
issues with them.

Now i understand why they are fighting each other... this is beyond stupidity. But my teacher told me that the poor people are getting manipulated by the rich ones to fight each other in order to gain more money.
