Hi, I need to use the GCC compiler for linux on my windows computer. So I'm using Cygwin where I can get the package for GCC 4.3.2. It installs without a problem, but when I go to the bash shell and type gcc, it says this command cannot be found... I've looked at countless tutorials and forums and haven't found an answer...

it means that the bash shell doesnt have the GLOBAL variable %PATH% with the required location of GCC set into it Wink

use this it will help

export PATH=$PATH:/PATH/TO/GCC
