I am plnning to buy something on ebay, and my parents won't letme use their credit card, because it is game related. It says I can pay via mail order. How does mail orders work?

Never bought things from ebay, but mail order is like the old traditional way of paying. e.g. Checks or money order.

You can get money order at your local post office.

You go to your bank and ask for a money order worth x dollars, they subtract it from your bank account and hand you a piece of paper.
That piece of paper is like a dollar bill, but worth a specific amount.
It cannot be spent in stores, and must be taken back to the bank to be cashed.
It can be cashed by anyone however, unlike a check, which must be cashed by the person who's name is on it.

So I can't just go to the post office and give them money to put in the mail order?

Horny, I'd say don't buy off eBay. My friend brought a North Face book bag, and they said it was in "good condition", turns out to be all trashed up. And it wasn't the first time too.

Got o the mail office and pay them whatever amount you want to send
and they give you this green check that you send or give to someone.

The post office will add a fee to the money order itself, so bring some extra.

The last time I bought was $200.00 for the product
$0.75 for the money order

Total $200.75

I can't remember if they add taxes to it.
