Using windows?
Make sure you have latest stable version and not a beta.
Check your flash player is up to date. (And anything similar).

Wouldn't know, I only use FF, everything else seems slower to me.
This only started to happen a few days ago, FF also crashes when I press "Watch in HD" and then go in full screen right after that, I noticed in the video its like "Static" when you press watch HD while the video is loading the 1st 2 seconds in HD and FF only crashes when you go full screen in that time

I use the same version on my laptop and it NEVER crashes, I don't see why it keeps crashing on my desktop.....

Try opera, it seems faster for me...
Got flash player, and all other sorts of players?

i recommend desinstalling:
Google Updater
iTunes thing (if you dont need)
Metastream
anything starting with "Microsoft" or "Windows"

That used to happen to me on earlier versions of FF.
Make sure you have latest plugins / Updates of FF.

My FF freezes and automatically closes if it detects a fake site and/or virus. Which is pretty cool, I mean I can restart it and load my web pages again.
