I agree, gameplay over graphics. Playing a game like final fantasy 7 can easily beat a game with next gen graphics for me.

Generally it depends on the Genre for me. I don't really care about the Gameplay or Graphics to be honest, though they are indeed a plus.

Gameplay rapes graphics in my book. That's why old games are still playable and (still) fun.

I still play tetris over the new final fantasy games. The new final fantasy games got too repetitive.

game is boring as hell.

Neither, I agree with butters. I usually only buy games for my PS3, which means all the games are going to have Bluray graphics, so no worries on the graphic parts. The gameplay usually doesn't entertain me much either way, I buy games to go online and play multiplayer (ex. cod4/5).

hell yes gameplay over graphics, but there is a point when no-matter what the best gameplay is, if the graphics are absolutely craphouse then i wont.

Gameplay.... I racked up A LOT of hours playing a calculator (TI-89) game very similar to Rogue; that means graphics are very poor, but the fact that it was entertaining, and had was very replayable kept me playing.
