^ is that a good card? i might buy it like will it run games such as crysis and other high end games on maximum with absolutly no lag?

That's a pretty good car but I'm not sure about crysis on maximum, what r ur current spec's..

This HD 4870 or this EVGA 9800GTX+ carries more bang-for-your-buck.

But the old 9800GTX+ you chose will be able to max out Crysis, at the right resolutions. If you're only going to be playing Crysis/other NVIDIA-optimized games, stick with the 9800GTX+.

The Evga because its like $20 cheaper.
It uses only 1x6pin power not 2x6pin.
Other then that there basicaly the same...

It depends on what resolution. I can max out Crysis at 640x480 on my 9600 GT. The GTX 295 gets 50FPS on Crysis maxed out at 1920x1200.

i use 1024 x 768 or something like that i have a 22" monitor

With a 22" Monitor I recomend going with 1600x1200 or 1680x1050...
Especialy with that video card

I'm currently using 1600*1200, I kinda liked it better to the 1680*1050...
Besides it has more pixelz.... Cool

that card cant run Crysis on max without lag. sorry. But if your willing to shell out another $400 you can the new 280 GTX which will run it lagfree if thats what you really wanna do

What resolution do you plan on playing Crysis and other games?
If it 1600*1200 resolution you'll run Low with No Lag and Medium.
800*600(lol) you'll run medium no lag possible High with little lag...

you wish.

as long as you aren't running it at some absurd resolution, it will run on max settings fine with that.

1280x1024 / equivalent will be smooth sailing.
