|
|
Hey, I was using GPU-Z on my dad's computer, and saw that the card's memory was overclocked to 797 MHz, which is way above the default clock. Everytime I try to underclock it back to default (It's an ATI x1650 Pro, ATITools), the card would crash. I don't know if it was like this before, but could you guys help me?
Here's a screenshot:

The memory is actually underclocked.
Original clock: 1350 MHz

Because it doesn't tell them what the default clock was in that screen.

My best guess is that GPU-Z is taking RAM speed measurements as effective, rather than actual speed. In other words, your RAM is running at 400MHz, but since DDR2 is about double the effective operating speed, it reads as about 800MHz.
Also, 1350MHz is a bit far-fetched for high-latency GDDR2.

Yeah, I checked it out on EVEREST Ultimate Edition and came up with this:
| Code: | Memory Bus Properties:
Bus Type DDR2
Bus Width 128-bit
Real Clock 796 MHz (DDR) (original: 400 MHz, overclock: 99%)
Effective Clock 1592 MHz
Bandwidth 24.9 GB/s

I think the card is failing due to the massive overclock, as it performs worse than the Radeon 9600SE I replaced it with (I might be wrong). Does anyone know how to get it back to the default clock
