I synced a bunch of songs onto my ipod touch, when it was done it said "slide to unlock" like it always does. this time when I slid the arrow, the ipod froze. after a minute it restart it's self and is stuck on the apple loading screen. it's been over an hour like that now. I've tried everything and I do NOT want to restore factory settings or w/e

hold the off button and the home button for about 10 seconds and it'll restart into recovery mode (the screen when you first get it and need to plug into iTunes). that's how on 2nd Gens like mine, not sure if yours is 1st or 2nd, or if there is a difference.

btw, this forum can sometimes help a lot.

Lol, I want to jailbreak my 2g too so I can change the files in Fieldrunners and Reign...

My brother had this problem with his original iPod touch. We just pressed the top button a ton of times and it worked lol... Mashing of buttons and/or hitting it with something is always the best solution.

just wait till it dies out, then charge it back up and it should work again.

Press the home button and then press the on/off button and hold them together for few seconds... it should shut down immediately. Then hold the on button to turn on.
