I'm just wondering, why is everyone so Anti-Mac? I mean they can do everything you can do on Windows, and they have great graphics. I can only think of a few things that are bad about them. They're overpriced.....I mean they have a few things built right into the OS, like iMovie, iPhoto, Garageband, and a webcam, which is all great, but that shouldn't cost me $500-$1000 more than my computer running Windows. You can't play any good games on them either, and the commercials for them are really annoying, so is the whole "You can run multiple OSes on Macs." Awesome? I can run Windows, and three different distributions of linux on VMs and have two others installed on seperate partitions for multi-boot. Only reason we're not doing it on Windows is because you made it so Macs only install on Apple hardware Rolling Eyes

Because they don't want to admit Macs are better equipped and able to use straight out of the box, as PCs are not.

And yes, that's a nice thing as well, since they're all pre-built they have all the drivers installed already, although pre-built computers for Windows has that as well. And, Macs aren't really customizable........

bad things about macs:
1 underspec and overpriced, even the mac pro isn't exactly a beast considering its pricetag.
2 an operating system that looks like something from a childs toy computer.
3 they use a UNIX (BSD) which is free to anyone and charge a massive premium for it.
4 it's always a prebuilt computer

good things:
1 apple writes their own drivers for the exact hardware they use, usually better than the manufacturers.
2 if you get compatable hardware it's possible to run OSX on your pc.
3 movie editing.

the bad things definitely outweigh the good IMO and I'm sure I've missed a lot but I'd never get one.

the os is the best i use it on my acer and mac is better then pc it can install windows on it with drivers but we cant install os x with driver will mine came with all some peoples dont get all

firethenoob, please learn how to speak English correctly. And secondly, we're not saying it's better, we're saying it's just equal? I don't see how it's better. Btw, they're both PCs, and you're not "installing" Windows. You're running it on a Virtual Machine, the reason you can't install Macs or put them on a VM on a normal Windows computer is because Macs can only be installed on Apple hardware. Although MACOS86 allows you to, so it doesn't matter.

they fail. non customizable, they all have 14 ms screens, and the os is for children. you can install osx on a pc.

14 ms screen? What does ms stand for lol? And not so sure I know what you mean by the OS is for children, and yea I know you can install OSX on a machine running Windows.

Well macs are faster and they dont have as many errors but something
about macs is weird I mean, they are just different and most people dont
like their format.

4) Would've been so much better than Windows if they released the first Macintosh series earlier, because IBM released computers with Win-DOS just about the same time Apple released the Mac.

Microsoft, at one point, owned a part of Apple. They kind of helped each other out. Bill Gates didn't go to jail because they bought shares of Apple to stay in the game, while Apple gained money to expand and create new products for the near future (E.G.: iPod).

I wouldn't say simple. And xDeviancex, Bill Gates has stock in Apple because he helped them create the first Mac.

You would be an anti-mac user too if you actually realized the potential of hardware. for the same price as getting a mac you can build your own custom computer that will kick any pros a mac has to the garbage. there is also to many lies about macs, no viruses, no errors.. come on....

when a mac crashes you cant even trace the problem to anything cause it gives you no information what so ever where it came from. technically you do anything with a mac than you would with windows...except gaming.
