How do people make No-CD/ Dvd cracks?

anyone has a tut thats for newbies? I want to learn how to make my own cracks. Do i use OlyDbg?

No idea, although I think if it was easy there would be a LOT more cracks. You'd probably have to be a complete nerd Razz anyway why would you want to make one? Almost every game is cracked. (Assuming this is games you're talking about and I'm not confused).

It is not easy, I can do older games. But newer ones are going to be a ride.
You need to understand olly for starters.

There are sites that have numerous tutorials to learn cracking.
Tuts4you.com is one.

you use olydebug or idapro.


basically, you find loops that lead to the CD messagse, and then change the code to go the other way.

cracking games from the 1990's is incredibly easy, but new games seem to have alot of protection built in.

So (difficult) Ubisoft ripped RELOADED's NODVD patch for Vegas 2 as their own. xd

You will have to defeat secure rom and some others to do a cd crack.
Setting a break on GetDriveTypeA is better then looking for the messages. Some are custom api and you wont find it uses MessageBoxA

I also found yours and SBs cracking tut and its really nice but what patch or plugin do i need to install to get the Command box, srry lols i didint use it alot so im a newb.
