Currently playing a 3D MMORPG. I've successfully found the x,y,z client side coordinates of the character, however these really don't do much and I've been unsuccessful in locating the server side addresses. The game uses floats for the cords. Would be extremely helpful if I could find these. Any tips on finding this sort of cheats? Anyone with experience in doing this in other 3D MMorpg's?

Please, no stupid replies, I'm well aware of client side and server side. I am also aware that there may be no server side address however some games do indeed have the client keep track of both.

I'm also interested in finding a walk through walls type of code for the game, as this would still help me achieve my goal just as well as finding the coordinates would. I'm not too familiar with 3D games however.

Any suggestions on finding the collision detection for a walk through wall code?

(No it isn't for WoW or any other popular games, it's actually a much older one).

Thanks.

And you wont find a server sided address scanning the client. You have to scan the server to get a server side address.

Now for your collision, you could try touching a wall and scan for 1, then move away from the wall and scan for 0.
If you are lucky, then you will have found the collision is true or false.

How do you scan the server?

You dont, unless you run it yourself or hack into it.

Seriously doubt it's that simple for the wall. Any other techniques that are used by developers? Once again, I've seen clients that handle both the server side and client side, or at least a value that the server will accept. Guess I'll dig deeper.

How do you know if it is that simple or not?
Did you try it?

You would be surprised what is used to save time.

Now a little bit about your theory about the client having server side options.
No, if something works in memory on a multiplayer.
It is because it is handled by the client and then, maybe passed to the server. But the client is controling the outcome not the server.
So basically that would be client sided.

Read my sticky on the differnce mate.

Yes.

I do understand the difference, but of course I meant a client side address that will affect the server side coordinates. Starting to think one does not exist =/.

I'm able to teleport to the area I'm trying to get to, but if I try to log off there it puts me back where I was, so location seems to stay server sided unfortunatley.

Still looking for the walls.

Maybe try scanning touching the wall with unknown then move away and scan has changed.
There should be something changing during collision andnot during collision.

I know some 3d models in games have coded as solid and not solid.
But collision is a bool.
