Every time I try to turn off/restart my computer it takes a whole lot longer than normal. I just realized it about 10 minutes ago after reinstalling some programs and doing a complete scan on my computer. Does anyone know anything that could be causing this issue?

If ti spends a really long time on "Saving your Settings" try disabling system restore.

right click on my computer > properties > system restore > turn off system restore on all drives.

If I did a restore.. say two - three days ago, would it like.. cancel that restore and go back to the day I did the restore on? Or would it just leave my computer where it's at.

It would just keep it from making new restore points.

Only if your that desperate.
There isn't a need to reformat for the smallest problems.

I suggest run a virus scan, and uninstall all unnecessary programs.

Go to the registry and force your computer to autoend task.

If you enable "clear pagefile everytime when shutdown" then shutting down will take a long time.
