After searching around and reading on this site i have found that i am way out of my comfort level here. I have no previous knowledge of programing and am haveing a very difficult time. I do feel i am making some slow progress thanks to all the wonderful posts of all you experienced coders.

This post is not to beg or snivell for hacks, ask you if impossible hacks are possible or even to ask you to take a complicated technique and water it down to something that an average human brain can process.

What i am wondering is how many of you had programing knowlege aplicable to hacking previous to attempting to hack. What sort of expertise it was (ie C++, Visual Basic, other things i dont understand) and if you feel it was helpful to have that pre-requisite knowledge. Finally i am wondering how long it was before you found coding easy (or at least not hard, just time consuming).

I am hoping that some of you experts and masters can share a bit here so i can kind of feel out what i have gotten myself into

Personaly i Started on the date i joined here, have managed to get to step 7 on the CE tut (not attempted it yet) and have used piball to unintentionaly kill my CPU cycles . I do not yet feel i am a hacker.

EDIT: i am resizing that right now

Best way to learn is by playing.. Just click stuff and interpret what you think it does, then read up on it.

Don't forget that everytime you mess something up, you learn not to do the same thing again xD.
