I have already googled this error and ran multiple searches throughout this forum to find my error, but to no avail. The error occurs on startup of Cheat Engine v5.0, and this is the first time I have ever opened CE.

If I click OK on the DBK32.dll error box Cheat Engine seems to work fine, but if I ever go to Settings > Extra, and then enable "Stealth mode (Kernelmode)", after clicking ok, I will get the error again.

I have tried completely uninstalling and then reinstalling the program on a serperate hard drive but that didn't work. I have also tried getting a friend's DBK32.dll file to see if mine was somehow corrupt, and that didn't fix my problem either. His Cheat Engine v5.0 has no errors like mine. I have tried rebooting as well.

Computer Information:
Windows XP Service Pack 2
AMD 64 3500+ Slot 939 (I'm thinking this is what is causing my error, I read on these forums that CE doesn't like 64 bit OS's and this kinda goes with that.)
2048 MB RAM
ATi Radeon x800 XT AGP 8x
Dual Hard drives, CE is currently installed on the hard drive without the OS, it was originally on the OS drive.

If any other information is needed I will gladly post them, this problem is causing me a big headache.

Thanks,
Scoot

P.S. I have mirrored CE for you guys, here's a link: click.

DB made mention of a AMD64 problem in a pivate message.

Dark Byte AMD 64? (if you use sp2 on a 64 bit amd PAE is enabled by default screwing up the read/write methods of the driver. That'll also mess up the systemcallretriever)

Make a backup of C:\BOOT.INI

Modify the BOOT.INI file and change the /NoExecute=OptIn to /NoExecute=AlwaysOff

This disables DEP and makes SP2 function similar to SP1.
Worth a try Wink
