I am only considering the second generation becuase it has a built in speaker. So far, watching reviews on youtube, it seems to have good graphics for games, good for music, video...
Does the battery drain really fast with the built in speaker system? Can you get through a movie with the battery?
I really want one and it seems cool.. but i'm kinda undecided becuase when i got a ipod nano it sucked. -_-
Edit: are games, apps really expensive?

Pros: External Speaker
Looks nicer
Same amount as old ipod touch
AWESOME
nice and chromey!
Cons: DOES IT NEED ANY?
occasional short battery life 
ps. Over 70% of apps are free ..... Some games cost around $10

I have a first gen 16gb iPod touch, and its battery drains hell quick.
I dont know how much apps and stuff are, as I'm still running the 1.1.4 firmware and have it jailbroken.
I wish mine had a built in speaker :3

firmware 2.0 drains quicker same with jailbroken firmware.
I upgraded but I'm downgrading again soon
not enough apps with 2.0 and not as customizable
I miss my cheeseburger mainslider
