Ya that could be problematic ... He just didn't post that. His DVD Rom drive doesn't work. Check all the wires. How much ram you got?

And what do you mean "the screen doesn't come up"

Maybe he forgot to post them.

Anyways, no CPU -> No boot
No RAM -> No boot, 3 beeps..

When there is no ram the system makes 3 long beeps, pauses, and does it again.
For graphics: it's a long beep follow by 3 short beeps.
CPU:... don't know as how can you not see that big missing spot on your mobo?

To the OP: Maybe your board is grounded, remove the board from your case and try it outside (not outdoors).

Be more descriptive, please. Pics might also help in case you hooked something up wrong.

It boots to what point?
Does it finish the POST? (Power-On-Self-Test)

If you're not even able to POST

Do you at least get power? Fans spin? Everything plugged in correctly and secure?

You did install the risers, right? Make sure you're not hitting any part of the case and shorting.

Otherwise, I'd say either the mobo or PSU is the culprit.

Make sure you hooked up all the power/reset switch lights, etc correctly. Aso make sure the separate 4 pin power connector is connectoed to the mobo.

Note the link provided is not to promote any other sites or forums.
It's only purpose is to show a basic guide if the OP has missed any steps when building his own system.
