Did you honestly make this thread?
LOL. LOL.
CHEAP MAC?
ATTN: MAC. FLASHY FLASH BOX OF FLASH MADE FOR RICH FGTS THAT DON'T KNOW SHIT. [Does not apply to producers, photograph ngrs and the like]
If you don't do anything like that.
If you like to play games.
If you like getting a shit load more performance, reliability and support.
If you aren't a retard who cannot google common error codes.
If you aren't a retard who actually believes those commercials.
Well. You wouldn't of made this thread.

Mac: shiny, tends to make people feel elite in their ignorance.
Windows: everything else
Macs used to be a viable alternative in the PPC days, they're now just a status icon, nothing more. If you enjoy getting a PC with outdated hardware that still costs twice as much, is impossible to upgrade and a lot of times even repair yourself, and runs an OS that 99% of the industry doesn't support, then a Mac is the only way to go.

Is building a computer better than buying one?

Generally speaking, yes. The pros: you can customize the hardware to your needs, you can get better hardware for your money. Cons: in the event something breaks, you have to repair it yourself and deal with the manufacturer yourself, rather than simply returning it to the dealer for repair.

An excellent one. Gaming, amirite?
If you want it for just simple purposes, it'll be cheap.
I have powerful budget builds for as low as 450$

Quad core, 4GB, fastest GPU available, 1.5TB drive, 750w PSU just as an example.
Chances are you don't need a hard drive that big etc, just showing what you can get for that price.
