So, recently i got avast, but like, almost every time i download a song it says it's a virus..
Is it really a harmful virus or can i keep it?

You can keep it. It's probably recognizing it as a virus because limewire is a p2p program.

Just give out a screenshot, also tell the name of the virus, and check the song using http://www.virustotal.com.

That never happened to me when i was using avast. Im using kav now and never get that problem

Well if it's from limewire, then it could actually have a virus. I haven't used it in ages, so I don't know how safe the files being shared are.

Usually about the top 3 files (the 3 first from up to down) are virus or add's .. Don't download them, the rest SHOULD be clean ... But, you can't tell if it's .rar etc..

lime wire usually has a lot of virus files i would use bittorent it is clean

WMAs, WMVs and MOVs can actually have viruses embedded in them in the form of exploits, most of which aren't stopped by the new updates of their respective players. I avoid these formats like the plague. I've only ever had a very few MP3s with exploits in, but they were all player dependant. I use Satsuki Media Player which has its own internal audio/video codecs, and is as such pretty much immune to exploits stored in any standard MPEG audio or video format.

I use Ares and LimeWire for my music, but usually I use GoMusic or iTunes to get my music legally without paying extortionate amounts.
