So I just built a new PC that I ordered barebones off of TigerDirect, and eventually, after a lot of trouble, I got it working. Right now I have two Operating Systems running on Dual-Boot, Windows XP SP3 and Ubuntu Linux.
Here's my problem, every morning when I go over to turn it on, all I get is a blank screen with a flashing cursor. I've waited 5-10 minutes at times and still nothing, so normally I just hit the reboot button and viola! ASUS logo comes up, followed by the OS selection screen.
So I guess I'm trying to figure out why it keeps doing this. I believe it has also performed this way after a reboot, but mainly it's booting it up cold. I suppose for now it's not a big issue, cuz I can still get the PC running after I hit the reboot button, but I just feel like it should work EVERY time.
If you need any other specs on my system I'd be happy to provide them. I haven't done any BIOS updates or anything, mainly because I don't know how...
I also read somewhere that it could be an issue with the PSU. Mine came with the case, which can be found here. It's a 450Watt if you don't feel like clicking. Some people that reviewed did say it was worthless so... idk.
Anyone have ideas? Thanks guys,
Cheers,
