CS3 sucks, I suggest going CS2.

You can always use Torrent sites like Demonoid or TPB.

Many people who doesn't like Photoshop prefer Gimp. Tho, I never tried it.

Actually I would recommend CS3... becuase you can do more.. well at least its easier to understand how to.. And i learned how to photoshop through youtube.. Just search up what you wanna do. eg. how to combine pictures with photoshop.
