you know like torrents,they have cracked games, i was wondering how do i crack a game

Know ASM and C++? Learn them both and unpack it and go in ollydebug or any debugger and do stuff.

I am most likely wrong but that's the only way I can think of cracking games.

By cracking a game, the word itself is too large, you simply remove the check for a cd, the check for a cd key, you change the cd key algorithm, etc.
It must'nt be all that confusing if you just get to know it, also, all this would be done in a good debugger as the above said, ollydebugger would probably be prefered.

yay my subject right here , well like spawnfestis said you have to search through the exe (and other files it may use )for a cd chck function ( and other things way to many to list)or if its an app you have to follow through the program and find where it check if your registered or not , if you are it might jmp over some code leading you to the code where you are registered and if your not then it could take another jmp somewhere , and that is as simple as it gets , so its kind of complicated , if you want to learn how to crack games and apps and things like that a great video series is made by a good cracker/programmer called lena , you can find her tutorials by googling her name. and a good site to learn cracking is on http://forum.astalavista.ms/ .
