I'm trying to host a website off my computer (my own, obviously) and I have WAMP Server installed and I registered a DNS (http://www.cplusplustuts ,ath.cx) at DynDNS.org. So I was having my dad set everything up with the port forwarding (cuz I had tried before and accidentally owned the internet (I killed everyones internet)), and now it works locally. Like if your on my families LAN you can see it, but otherwise you get a server timeout. Anyway suggestions?

Okay lets see...

type this into the browser : http://localhost/
If that works, WAMP is setup correctly.

type your computers internal IP into a different computer ON your router/network and see if it works. ( 192.168.x.x etc ) If that works, WAMP is setup right again i guess?

Type your IP into a different computer. If that works, your port forwarding is fine.

Type the DNS name into the browser, if that works you setup it right...

So yah... Which ever one doesnt work tell me.

Then your error is port forwarding. Obviously.

Sorry I posted this a while ago. I went to figure out what it was, and my dad had set the IP address to 192.168.15.2. See this is how my family setup is:

Modem>Phone Router>Linksys Router.

Apparently the phone router gives a speed boost. And that IP Address points to Linksys router. That's why only people on the LAN could view it. But my friend created the DNS for me (I deleted it from my account so he could make it) and then I changed my HOSTS file so that if I went to cplusplustuts ,ath.cx it would go to localhost. So now people can go to my site and I can go to it to (sort of). Oh btw, the reason I set it to redirect to localhost is because if I go to it it just goes to the phones router login page.

Oh and as a test, can you try to go to http://www.cplusplustuts ,ath.cx/ for me? It's barely started, but I just want to see if it's still working.
