|
|
Ok been on google and i cant seem to figureit out. I converted the avi to Vob which is a dvd player format. I burned it using nero 8. The dvd player shows it as data disc and says no audi or video on disc.
Did i burn it wrong or do i gotta do something else to play this?

Clearly, converting to VOB isn't enough. You need to convert it so that the final product has the proper files and codecs are recognizable. -VIDEO_TS & AUDIO_TS. A DVD player needs files like .bup and .ifo to read the DVD-
What I use is a program called ConvertXtoDVD. It's not free so I can't help you there (you can always torrent).

Since you have nero 8, what you need to use a program called Nero Vision and it will play on your DVD player.
It should be bundled with your Nero 8 installer.
I've done it plenty of times and it works flawlessly.

First, what media did you burn it on. Some DVD players are able to play DVD+R and RW, but most are compatible with DVD-R. If you burn a movie make sure you burn it at media speed divided by 2. (says 16x on DVD, then burn at 8x or else it will start skip at the end)

you don't always need to burn it at lower speeds, and you could always burn at lowest possible speed, instead of halfing the max. i've never had a problem burning DVDs either way.

Yea, well I burned some movies and everytime I burn at maximum the ending starts to skip around badly... maybe it's just me, I'm just saying from my own exp.
edit: or maybe it's because of blueray dvd player, im just sayin'

might depend on your media or dvd player, but it's never happened to me.
