|
|
Eh, I was reading a very old article from the BBC about The Netherlands legalizing Euthanasia (Mercy Killing, for those who don't know) and it got me thinking, do others feel that it's the right thing to do is it is requested?
But here's my dilemma, I can think of reasons why I believe it's right, but conversely I can think of reasons on the contrary.
So tell me what you guys think.

| Yes, it's right. When someone is in constant pain and will surely die within a short amount of time, I wouldn't mind that someone ending his or her life a bit earlier.

Two answers yes and no
Yes if the person requested to die, is about to die (base on the point of view of others), if the requested medic is amatuer mercy killing is a must, living a satisfied life can be also right for mercy killing(boredom sucks), and one last thing honor(a life thrown to cowardice or disgrace only death can regain honor).
No for only God chooses the fate of everyone, when you die it your time, if your still alive thank The Creator you're not yet killed.

Thanks for the religious viewpoint. But I'm still torn on my opinion, I think it's right for the most part, because you aren't the person to decide, it's the one who wants to die.
Only a slightly Ironic note, 666 posts.

God may decide to end someone's life via the very doctor that pulls the plug.

Other than being religious to not agree with mercy killing is your curiousity to see what will happen next(later, tomorrow or next year).
If you believe in honor go kill someone who is a disgrace, but if you believe in God let fate or Him do the job.

If i was hooked on to life support, and could not do anything for myself.. I would not want to be alive.
It depends on the person i guess.

It should be your right to decide if you want to die.
The only problem arises if people misuse the system, claiming they wanted it etc.
It would have to be very heavilly regulated.

I think it should be legal, with limiting factors.
For one, I believe that people who have discrete mental illnesses or those who are expected to die due to a serious illness should be granted the right to preform Euthanasia.

I think if someone is in extreme pain, is mental stable, and has a terminal disease they should have the right to kill themselves.

There is no god and that is why that statement is wrong. There is no god and nothing controls your fate. Everything just happens. Its not like stuff was set in stone of what will happen. If it was, then why did he make it to where people would be different religions? If i were a 'creator' then I would set it to where people would believe in me, worship me, not make them believe in other things. So apparently, there is no set fate for people. Cause then there would be one religion and people wouldn't be able to say 'Fuck you god' cause it would be in their fate. That's why there is no god or set fate.

Care to back your statement?
It's a stalemate. I'm not proving you wrong you're not proving me wrong; stop wasting your time.

I support Mattracks' statement. There is no scientific proof that there even is a mystic force known as "God." Also, the actions of this force known as "God" seems too far fetched.
My biggest opinion, religion is the legal version of a cult.

Well that is what I belief and you have no right to tell me what's right and wrong, because everyone have their own belief to trust and not to believe.
