yeah, but if you need help, it would be handy if you actually posted your situation... Makes it easier for us to help. It's not really clear to state you need help with advanced pointers.

Okay. well i did do step 8 but i guess thats "less advanced" pointers. I need one that would work with halo ammo. I've already got unlimited ammo but it changes when you die so i heard about pointers and said i'd give it a shot. I did all the steps to making a pointer but when i search the hex i get nothing. So now what could i do?

this is off subject but... btw keyboard piano i download the paino and i cant extract the files Shocked

and you can get unlimited ammo for multiplayer thats weird because the ammo is usually server side.

yeah well. you probly search the higher stuff... like double and floats. but i was suprised to find it both at 4 and 2 bytes XD

If you are getting infinite ammo just on the client side, try to abuse it (eg shoot for a few seconds on the pistol till you are sure you've run out of ammo) then try shooting somone to see if the server is still spawning rounds. My guess is you tricked your client into giving you infinite rounds, but not the server. Or M$ just decided to screw it with the PC version to force ppl to get an XBox (i wouldnt put it past them).

okay but. thisi s what happens when i get unlimited ammo: After one shot the shot reloads. BUT when the clip runs out people dont see me shoot but i can still kill them with my unlimited ammo. but when you die the adress changes. Pory said the pointers are way advanced.

well, It's not the easiest way and it moght not work all the time. There could be a function that builds up the register (lets call it ecx for now). In that case, when you scroll up in the dissasembler you'll only find a call.

But if not, you should find a lot of commands that change ecx. Write them all down until there is a static adress being placed in eax (like "mov ecx,123456" or "mov ecx,[123456]").

Or there is a register being placed in ecx ("mov ecx,eax" or "mov ecx,[eax]"). Then you'll have to follow that register until you found it's origin.

If you've written them down, try to manualy construct the pointer ou of it. You might encounter several levels of pointers (pointer to a pointer to a pointer etc)

Or, you find out what writes to the adress (once you found it) and you nop it (replace with bytes that do nothing). I always prefer nopping over freezing.

I just downloaded the zip from my site, it extracted withouth any problems... Using WinZip or WinRar...

i dont really follow that... but heres what i did and i was very close to being successful. I got the ammo adress right click and clicked "search for pointer" choose level 3 and the scan options for fast slow ect. and i got 3 pointers. which seemed to work witht he trainer i made and all but i died and everything worked fine (i think :\ i made a mistake and didnt shoot all the clips) and when the trainer works i have 1 shot. then i restarded that game and that didnt work.

Also i would like to know if theres a way i can change the new gun ammo to something

eg. the gun ammo i have is 40089F80 but when i die it changes to something random (but all ammo i've tested so far started with 400) lets say it changed to 400867c3. is there a way i can make it so the new ammo adress 40086c3 to change to 40089F80 again?

maybe, but it's not safe... You could just write into the adress of the pointer, but that doesn't mean the game will actually read from there... Anyway, if you found a lvl 3 pointer, but it doesn't work, maybe you need to scan for a lvl 4... And there is also a scan for base pointer option for a pointer...
