Hello DarkByte, You don't know me to well, but I have an offer for you. Im willing to offer you a vBulletin Full Lisence so you can make a vBulletin Forum. What do I ask for? Nothing.. This is not a scam that have a bunch of viruses in it. It is just a simple offer. A free $180 vBulletin Forum Lisence. The reason why im doing this is because I was going to but Epicgamers a vBulletin Forum like they asked me to, but after I was finished purchasing it, they bought one and told me they didn't need mine anymore. I wanted to give it to a good website with alot of helpful members and staff. Ragezone already had a vBulletin for and so did NT. So I decide that if you want it, you can have it. Fully lisenced, No viruses, for free. Interested? This is a great deal, but isn't DB already trying to upgrade CEF to PHPBB 3.0? It is a very generous offer, but is it even possible to transfer all existing posts and members to vBulletin anyway?

Accually.. If this forum is run off a SQL DB, its easy to transfer by just adding all accounts to QUERY's

I know all D:< But srsly, If all the PHPBB forum accounts are on a SQL server, you can just QUERY them, then activate the query once he gets the vB forum since there both run off SQL. Thats if he accepts the offer and IF PHPBB is run off SQL (Cuz i dunno)

Well it is easy to transfer phpbb2 to phpbb3 cause it actually supplies a a convertor into the phpbb3 installer menu.

There are conversion tools already made for various forum to forum type conversions. phpBB2 to vBulletin exists:

vBulletin can convert from many different boards as listed there, as well as a lot of homebrewed scripts posted on various web sites for others not listed there.

As for changing to vBulletin, I don't think it will happen. Yes, it is a nice offer for you to do it for free, but, vBulletin is limited to what you get with that license.

Only 1 year of updates for free is honestly not worth it, I doubt this site will be gone within a year as its been here for many already. And yes, DB is thinking of converting to phpBB3. There is no final choice on this as far as I know though.

Hes right you fuck face. you just gotta do more stuff to transfer from phpbb2. Also This forum really needs to hire a database consultant. I mean i know alot of phpbb2 forums that are still running perfectly yet you get errors from this one all the time
