|
I am a noob. I want to use rare items/equipment in an RPG called Phantasy Star Universe. I'm guessing the most realistic way of doing this is by finding the memory address for an item I've equipped and then modifying the values to change the equipment.
If that's the correct method, then how do I find the memory address for a piece of equipment my character is wearing? After finding the address, could I just normally modify the values to change the equipment? (like enter '5' for "item #5"?) |

I'm not familiar with Phantasy Star for the PC, but it seems as if you're on the right track UNLESS the values are server-sided.
The only way I can think of doing that is equipping a low level item (like one of the sabers/guns/canes you start with) search unknown value, then equip something high level and search value has increased, take note that this is assuming the item numbers scale depending on their respective levels (for example a shitty saber would be item #4 and Yasminkov's or Hildebear Cane would be in the #100's.)
Sorry, can't help you any further. Good luck! _________________

Thanks for the reply. I tried your advice plus a few other things but didn't have any success. A lot of times I couldn't even narrow down the number of addresses below ~500.
I will wait and see if someone else can do it. |

| you could keep on searching for a changed value, over and over, by equip and unequip the item, but that might take a while. |
