I'll explain it a bit, for the people who still don't understand what's going on here.

First of all, something you all should be aware of is Net Neutrality. It basically means this: Precise definitions vary, but a broadband network free of restrictions on the kinds of equipment that may be attached, on the modes of communication allowed, which does not restrict content, sites or platforms, and where communication is not unreasonably degraded by other communication streams, would be considered neutral by most observers.

What this means for you is that you can give your opinion, read the opinions of other people and discuss and debate. It means you can put videos on Youtube. It means you can comment on the War on Terrorism. It means freedom.

Virgin, a huge ISP (delivering the Internet to very, very many people) has a CEO which goes by the name Neil Berkett. In an interview Neil stated that Net Neutrality is "a load of bullocks". He thinks that freedom of speech, freedom of information is rubbish. Virgin could limit their customers, by not letting them view, or providing little bandwidth for sites filled with opinions. This goes even deeper, Virgin basically asks content-providers to pay them money, only then will they provide a decent speed for certain content. You can imagine freedom of information is endangered by this situation.

If Virgin can do this, without being rebelled against, others will follow. A trend will be set. ISPs and other companies will decide how to fill their pockets best. They don't care about your rights, they care about profits.

I want you to review your opinion on this matter, I want you to decide whether a large company can decide what may or may not be shown on the Internet. I want you to decide whether Virgin needs to be stopped.

I want you to exchange information, free of restriction and boundaries. I want you to be a critic, to think and discuss.

Information has to be liberated once again by the masses thought of as either too stupid or ignorant by companies like Virgin, thinking we won't notice these changes to our rights. Prove them wrong.

Liberate.
