ok -- I can train simple games such as reflexive arade, gamehouse, popcap, some flash games etc...

but I am totally LOST with this game

Space Colony V 1.1 -- Good Fun Game to play -- but be nice to have a few ahem trained features LOL

I found Money using 4 byte Exact Search - no problem - got its pointer too

however there are 3 other values I cannot find with any type of search
I tried ALL (Byte to Double) Unknown Initial Value -- Nothing
I tried ALL (Byte to Double) Exact Value (Because the game shows the values) - and found Nothing

I tried unknown, increased, decreased, etc.. nothing worked

Please view the Screen Shots to see the values I am hunting for & you will get a better Idea of what I might be missing!

I truly appreicate any help I Can get

as you see in Pic Below -- I found Money Value and it works Great
but the other 3 indicated Nothing!!! -- I am Totally Stumped

Wanted to ADD -- I have used Search as well trying to find any helpful info -- which is how I confirmed the idea that sometimes Games hide values by doing like value X 2 = Blahh -- but is there a way to figure out how a certain program encodes its values?

I used a debugger to view the program in an attempt to spot how its encoding values but failed

so any help is appreciated

Everything but a link to the games site.

But i would suspect those to maybe be in float type value.

LMAO -- I try to be very detailed but your right I didnt exactly give a link to the site

part of the reason is because its a Store Bought Game not a Downloadble one - sorry

I mean perhaps the Demo would be usable for someone to help me out here but Im not sure if the same addresses in demo are in the exe

yeah man the demo will be close to what the full version does. Not only that this way people know exactly what game and if that interested they will get the full version some way.

Try changed/unchanged instead of increase/decrease and scanning all memory if you're not already.

HalfPrime -- I had used Changed/Unchanged before as well

Im confused - Ive never had this hard of a time tracking down an address

I just downloaded the demo you posted. I found them for you. Heres what i got.
They were floats, all 3 are stacic so you should beable to use them. But i have no clue if it will work on the full game. Its not for that happiness thing. I'll find that in a min.

Just freeze all 3, thats it.
Heres what i did so you can try to find them yourself too. I searched float for unknown value.
Then went into the game and back out. searched decreased value. Did that a few times then went into the game and paused it. exited and searched decreased value. Back into the game and out again, searched unchanged value. Took about 5min to find.

What you want to do. find the value for pause. cause the screen changes when you pause. If you can stop that from happening then the values will be much easier to find. Plus it makes it easier to find the value when the game can be unpaused without going into the game. Well itworks for me. Im still a noob.

Thats insane -- I tried Float searching - with the same method you did

decreased value searches
etc..

and Still couldnt come up with them

Do you think i had so much trouble because of how Pause in this game works?

perhaps the values kept changing because of moving around in game with it supposedly paused

lol who knows -- I will take the addresses you listed for reference and continue to see why I cant find them myself

What did i tell you about posting links.. Now you have learned if you post demo links and the site to the game someone will be interested enough to try that smaller demo and give a clue to how to get the address's.

I hope everyone who see's this post, learns this method of asking for help works. To many people do not follow the design and do not get help on the project they wish to work on.

did those addys work for the full version game.
I found the happiness addy but im unsure what to do with it. I think i might have part of it.
Space Colony Demo.exe+2B26C10 its static
Problem is, the % flickers but wont stay changed. I think it slows the % down but doesnt stop or change it. It did help me on the first level though lol.

If you freeze the player addy before they enter the base
Space Colony Demo.exe+E3071C static
the happiness stays 0% but you wont beable to access the players.

I found time/day ones too.

Space Colony Demo.exe+E5F604 static day
these would help others for level 2 in the game.

ADDED INFO

I came up with alot of addresses using Float Search for each item
02 and Electricity

however I discovered if I freeze the correct one it will freeze the item and work fine -- it looks like each digit has a float address

so if I have 2000 02 level -- then there are 4 address that are floats one for eah digit -- i could be wrong but thats what it seems like

-- either way so far i am sure i have working o2 and electric

Glad that you found them. Those ones i found wont work on the full version. I tried them. Here are the two i found for the full version

The happiness is alittle tricky. I dont think by finding the happiness addy alone will work. So i started looking at the addys for each person. So far i'v found about 20 or so. If i can find them all, i think that will work.
Heres an example for player Venus

Space Colony.exe+2B8E506 Music

either way its a fun game in my opinion -- its entertaining

Im usually training small simple games so im finding this game and a few others a challenge - and time consuming to narrow down the addresses

Thats weird the addresses I found for Electric and Oxygen were

just one digit off - however I discovered that if you freeze or edit those addresses or even the ones you found they all work lol

I got it for training and because i like it. The demo doesnt do it justice.
I would beable to find the value so much easier if CE wasnt bugging out on me. For some reason float scan doesnt work very well for me. I'll search for 0 and it'l delete all the addys with the value 0 and leave the rest, strange.
If you look at those other addys i posted for venus. Change them from float to 4 byte. You'l see a pattern. so im gonna start looking that way.
I came up with a neat idea for a trainer but thats a long way off untill i get a bucket load of address.
The problem with this game is theres soo many addresses to find. Making a full trainer is gonna be hard for a noob like me lol.

I'll post everything i got in a few days. If theres anything you have to add to it then get it up. I think more then one person looking would be better.

yea - I noticed CE doing that with Float myself -- I thought hrmm did I click wrong button?

your right on addresses there are a ton of them

and the game itself yup its fun - I picked this game up at a Big Lots Store for like 9.00 LMAO -- gave it a shot figured only 9 bucks - turns out it was actually fun

I think CE is acting funny because of taking the game in and out of window with alt-tab or windows key -- just a guess but i dont really have any reasons to support that guess - just figuring maybe some weird fluke where its having issues with how you change windows

I have tried -W and -Window on the command line for the game
and tried DXWnd -- nothing LMAO
I cant make this game run in a window with anything

will search more later right now must sleep!!!
