Hey everyone, just need some suggestions for a lightweight Antivirus. Normally I wouldn't care about system resources as much but my computer is relatively old and some of the hardcore AV's just tear it apart.
You can recommend a firewall too if you'd like. Wink

Cheers,

How about Kaspersky?

Being smart will save you from viruses. Most of the files you download from random companys (Intellgent Ware) as opposed to good companys (Intel, Adobe etc) will have viruses!

i use NOD32/ESET and it works really good for me on 3 computers, and it's much faster/uses less resources than the previous AV i used.

I use McAfee Antivirus and is really good. Only thing you need at lease 384MB of RAM for no laggness.

On-access Antivirus also not bad.

Don't get AVG AntiVirus. It was a crap AntiVirus.

AVG is far better than McAfee. which shit.

But NOD32 is the best going, It's a resource hog though.
i wouldn't recommend it if you're short on resources.

If you're comp is relay that bad, get a good firewall.
don't download random crap and then have an inactive AV that you
can use to do weekly/monthly scans.
