There are hundreds of applications.
But you have to look, also you didn't say 3d or 2d so no one knows really what your looking for exactly.

Cinema4D, Macromedia Flash 8, easy .gif animator, and imageshack. Easy.

I would suggest photoshop CS3 or Flash CS3

i also use gimp thats what i used when i first started messing around with making siggys and stuff and animations
