First Build (you're missing a power supply):
8500GT for $85? You can get an 8800GT for less than that
2GB of DDR2-5300 for $80? I would expect it to be at $20-$40
Well, the CPU looks like a good deal (retails above $300)
I would expect a 320GB at that price, and at $20 more, you can get a 500GB drive
Motherboard's fine
I would expect CRTs to be cheaper
If you like spending more money on cases, go ahead
You don't need a sound card unless you are the most extreme gamer/does lots of music recording/applications (just use onboard sound)
Optical drive is fine
Speakers are fine
Even if you are overclocking a bit, the stock cooler should do fine, and you can find the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro cheaper
Second Build:
Video card is fine
I have to return my motherboard for this great deal
CPU is fine
You must've messed up the price, unless it is DDR3, $570 is terribly high
Hard drive is fine, but it's $10 over where you can find it elsewhere
You're getting ripped off buying a CRT at $175, you might as well get an LCD
A 500W PSU should do well (around $40-$80)
Optical drive is fine
