Well titles says it, but for the Fan i wonder what fan would fit a dell dimension 4700 and would cool it and is averagely quiet when i play game because when i play game its pretty loud and its pretty hot. And if a Heatsink help tell me which one would be good with a fan for my dimension 4700 please and thank you.

A heatsink definition: Something which cools down your comp. and prevent it from burning. You can tell from the word itself.

Not totally sure how to explain this... but it kind of looks like metal sheets sprining out towards... It takes heat in and pushes it out...
Zalman is a good brand

My dad has a similar computer (Dell 4550), and it only has a heatsink for cooling the processor, and it makes no noise at all. Heatsinks on their own usually aren't the best way to cool processors, so if temperatures are truly a problem, get a CPU cooler/fan.
Zalmans are a little bit pricey (the 9700CNP), and they don't perform as they should in the price range. I'd recommend a Thermaltake Big Typhoon, Scythe, or if you are low on money, an Arctic Cooling Freezer Pro.
