i am pretty sure, that to put it into your command prompt, you need to convert into a string.
So get the IP as an integer or float or whatever, then convert it to a string before printing it to the MS-DOS window.

Just Shell 'ping', you don't need to call cmd.exe to do it:
| Code: | | Shell "ping -t -l 25 127.0.0.1", vbNormalFocus |

That's the code I'm using. whenever I click the attack button, the ping option comes up in CMD, but no text appears, then it just closes.
Also, what's the parameter to get CMD to run in the background when I click the attack button? |
I attached a project I just tossed together using what I showed above but allowing users to input their own address and buffer size. If you don't want to see the cmd window, don't use vbNormalFocus, use vbHide.
