Does anyone know of a trustworthy site that sells cheap barebone laptop systems?
I'm currently looking for a 13 or 14" (or a 12" if its really cheap) barebone laptop (because I'm just going to buy the CPU, RAM, HD from newegg, and I don't need a CD drive on the thing if it doesn't come with one) and I want at least 4+ hours of battery life. And I'm trying to keep the weight below 5.5lbs (preferably under 5 lbs). It doesn't need to have a good graphics card either, an Intel graphics card would suit me just fine. I'm also looking at an AMD based laptop because newegg currently has a cheaper AMD processor that would suit me perfectly for less than a comparable Intel CPU (and the AMD one uses 3 less watts at the cost of being .06GHz slower than the Intel CPU, while being 30$ cheaper as well >.> ).
I've looked at tigerdirect, buy, MSI (but didn't find any cheap ones on there), and some other places, but have not seen anything that looked good.
I've also come across some other sites, but they didn't seem very reputable....
Any help would be awesome, thanks.
(And yes, I plan on putting it together myself.)
