i think the chance that it works will be higher if u install linux first cause windows want allow u to add linux to bootloader but linux allows windows

Boot off of the LiveCD, go to system -> Administration -> Partition editor. Edit your partition so that you have a normal XP partition and an EXT3 partition. When you install Opensuse, put it on the EXT3 partition and don't overwrite XP.

well erm.. i don't have windows disk so i'll have to get an iso burner, and get an iso (easily gained) and install windows again -.-

so if i install opensuse on my comp to overwrite xp, will the stuff on my xp take up room on my linux even though they aren't there?
