Cheat Engine

Basically I found cheat engine and found it really useful but the more I get into it the more i realized I would need to learn a programing language to make good use of what i found.

These forums are really good but there seem to be a grate hate for Visual Basic, as Im a noob I really could do with a place where when you get stuck you can get a answer.

My question now is, Is this the wrong place to get help learning to program and if so can someone point me to a good place?

If I start again and instead of learning VB2008 use Visual Studio 2008 and try and learn C++ will I be able to get help, all Im after at the moment is making a trainer but I need to use a forum and have it read/change the values of different characters I know this is possible in VB2008 but getting help when you get stuck seems to be impossible.

i'm using VB6 but i get realy good help here i would recommend asking blader or just making threads but much ppl. are just posting links with very complicated explainations of whatever u need

I strongly suggest you start with something harder and work your way down.

But if you're not keen on learning the hard way, use VB.Net/VB6 or C#.

C# is more flexible in some aspects, so if you want an easy but powerful language go for that. C++ is a lot better though, just harder to learn initially.

I'm still yet to go learn assembly, but I will. I need to at some point lol.
