You can always pay a professional to do it, but if you mean that you want to do it yourself then it depends on if your willing to take the risk that you might fuck it up.

Prices vary widely. I don't know about pounds because I live in the US but in dollars a good processor can cost anywhere from $150-300.

Well, I've spent a bout a half hour researching, and have found at least something.

As far as I can tell, your computer uses this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819111203

Though I'm not too sure your PSU/Motherboard can support it, you may be able to upgrade to this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819111318

Costs about 250 USD. That's probably about 125GBP.

I know what our currency is, I live in England, but pounds is easier to understand than GBP.

And thanks for the help from the post above, greatly appreciated.

Also..hows this one..

Will this work on a laptop?

According to a google search, your computer's motherboard uses socket P. Anything using socket P should work, but those probably use socket 775, which wouldn't fit to your mobo.

On a side note, thanks for resetting my rep.
