A game that's windowed and has no anti-hack will not improve your skills, you know? ^^
Later on the only problem you'll have is bypassing and running known hacks.
So I suggest you try out games WITH anti-hack ^^
I'm not sure what level you're at, but I suggest you try and hack ANY game other then flash mentioned in these forums without looking at the given hacks, or only their names, and trying to find some on your own.
That would be the best training there is ^^

I suggest hacking multiple single player games first
At least then you won't be put off immediately because at least there you will be able to change stats and exact values. (In online games you usually have to use non-obvious things)

Like roms, and small games like that. Try gettting those small games that you don't gotta pay for lol, then get bigger games that would more likely have something to stop you from hacking.
Try Mario Forever, can't give you link but I think Labyrynth told me once to use it and I mean ages ago lol and I think he suggested it a few tiems O.o
But there are a tonne of small games that will help you nail the basics and shit, just g2 look xD

Lol, if you're a noob, it would be hard. I'm making a trainer with TMK for minesweeper, I'm just to lazy to do it.

Good point ?
This has been said for years to people coming into game hacking but no-one listens. They go strait for the MMO they are playing and fail.
Starting with single player games gives you the skills needed to advance to multiplayer games and possibly find some usable code.
You get to work on scanning method skills and assembly skills. Then apply it to more advanced work. For many single player games under 100mb.
Look up BigFish Games or Reflexive. You will have all you need to work on.

you best be joking |
I really dont find this funny, go try the trainers people have released for this game. See how many have options that fail.
