hey i was wondering y linux cant get viruses? i mean, cant it do everything windows does? then y is it so special that it cant get viruses ...  |

It's mostly because when there is a virus for linux, there are about a couple million people who can figure out how to fix it within a few hours of the virus being out.
With Windows its a) sticking it to the bad OS b) it takes longer for microsoft to create a fix, and usually its up to individual AV companies to make the fixes and c) its more fun to screw around with Windows because more people use it and there is a better chance of really messing someone up. |

yeah more people use windows so people would probably focus on making viruses which screw around with windows, and pretty much all the newbies at computers use windows. _________________

lol thanks.... i know there is a few viruses for linux.. but i guess ppl just arent interested then, in messing up those linux users  |
