So I had my router temporarily removed, with my PC connected straight to my modem. I started getting curious and playing with a few IP's, I typed in an IP(it was either my default gateway from the ISP, or just 192.168.1.1, or something off the same subnet as one of those two) I ended up in an Arris modem setup, which is what my telephony modem is, however I'm told they're on completely separate networks, and the ethernet from the telephony modem doesn't even connect to my network. Anyway, after I exited I tried that IP again and got a blank page :S
I'm sure nobody here has an answer as to how I got into that, and I know my telephony modem doesn't have an external IP, but I'm stumped trying to figure it out.
EDIT: I suppose I should specify, my internet and telephone modem are completely separate devices.

I'd have to say it's just one of those weird things that rarely happen. On the school computers, I've somehow gotten administrator access via my restricted network account. Not a damn clue how, but after logging out, and trying it again, I lost access.

they're probably connected to the same phone line or something... i don't fully understand how your network works so i don't have a clue.

Well, those telephony modems aren't supposed to have external IP's, so I think you're right saviour it must have just been random.
fullyawesome, basically both modems are connected to my cable line but don't in any way connect to each other. According to Charter they're on completely separate networks...
