in some previous topics, you've seen that i'm looking for a new pc, and to increase the budget a bit (got 300 euro's = 450 USD) i want to sell my own system. i've built it myself, with the case of the previous pc....
i'll post some specs here, would you guys please tell me how much it would be worth right now?
MOTHERBOARD
Asus A7N8X-XE (5 PCI, 1 AGP, 3 DDR DIMM, Audio, LAN)
CHIPSET
Nvidia nforce2 Ultra 400
CPU
AMD AthlonXP 3000+ (Barton core, 13x166,7 mhz = 2,167 Ghz)
MEMORY
slot1: Kingston DDR SD-RAM PC3200 200mhz 3-3-3-8 latency 1GB
slot2: Kingston DDR SD-RAM PC3200 200mhz 3-3-3-8 latency 512MB
slot3: Kingston DDR SD-RAM PC3200 200mhz 3-3-3-8 latency 512MB
GRAPHICS CARD (this is the part i like the most)
Nvidia XFX GeForce 6800 Ultra
STORAGE
WDC WD400BB-00JHC0 40GB
WDC WD800JB-00CRA1 74GB
don't know the speeds, although i think it wont be that fast.
the 40GB one has 2MB buffer, and the 74GB 8MB buffer
NETWORK
Compaq NC3121 Fast Ethernet NIC
ok, that would be it. thanks in advance for reading this.

| Unfortunately, it's a very dated system and it's not worth much. I'd say $200 maybe

yeah, i know that, i can run command and conquer 3 on low settings 1024x768 at something like 20 FPS.
200 dollars equates to about 130 euros, which isn't that much because marktplaats.nl has 9 year old pc's that are still worth 70 euros (that's a rip-off)
but marktplaats isn't a good reference, i found a pentium 5 3000xxl sytem with 8 TB of DDR9 RAM and 60 ZB of storage, something tells me that's fucking impossible.
i just checked alienware.com , if i bought an alienware (not going to do that) i would get it 230 USD cheaper if i traded this one in

| It depends on your location really. In the US where I live, computer parts are dirt cheap all around, so you may get a bit more from where you're from.

You should have sold it earlier.
It looks like he has a Western Digital Raptor, that drive is worth quite a lot ($150 new). Most of the money you'll get will come off this drive (it's 50% of the price).
Here, I'll say <$300, but like Cheetah said, prices vary pretty dramatically.

Definitely don't buy anything from Alienware. They rip you off. Not to mention their computers are worth a lot of money. I wouldn't bet on getting to much. Maybe around $300 dollars like everyone else has said. Your best bet would be to sell it to someone who knows nothing about computers. All they really care about is RAM and memory. If that.

the HD's the most expensive?? one thing i know for sure is that they're not 10000 RPM, .
i really thought that GFX would be the best part, it cost me 450 euros (690 dollars) when i bought it.

| The gfx is still mildly decent, but almost all of the desktops I've seen come with a 8500GT or higher now a days.

I guess you're right. I mistook 74GB as the Raptor drives.
Yeah, I think your graphics card would be the best part, about $50-$80 if you sell to a person who isn't too computer smart.
