hey i saved ten gigs my tempory file were a bout 257 megs and i dealted them all  it saved 10 gigs  wierd

| most of them could of be .bmp files, temp files are files that are stored in there from the sits you've allready visited, so once you re-open a website you've visited it wouldn't need to re-load all iamges again

I just gained 3 gigs of free space, by deleting pictures of my mother in labour... WTF?!

I don't think that's the place, it should be C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Temp
The "Local Settings" folder is hidden.

maybe you mother hidded her pron in the jpg files,
when my computer is overloaded i usually use format c

I don't recommend formatting unless you don't have anything useful on it, at least back up the stuff you want before formatting.
I use 3 HD's, so size isn't a matter, DVDs work well too, to store data that you need but probably won't use for a while, or CDs.
Formatting though is for like, if your computer gets all fucked up and you can't do anything else to fix it.

to show hidden folders goto on the meun onto of a folder.
tool/folder options/view.
find show hidden folders and click that it shows hidden folder got rid of a virus with that .
